چکیده

The Bologna Process changes the educational paradigm, to be focus on the student and in the learning outcomes. The majority of e-learning platforms are used as mere repositories of content, based on the classroom paradigm and don’t support the individualism of each student learning process. Through the integration of new pedagogical methodologies based on students learning styles, we present an approach to intelligent tutoring systems in order to improve the learning process. This article is focused on the importance of learning styles to create the student model in intelligent tutoring systems and what was the student’s feedback about the adaptation of the system to each learning experience.

E-learning: Integrating Adaptive Hypermedia and Intelligent Tutoring Systems

Web-based education has been implemented widely in recent years. However, one limitation of most current web learning systems is that they provide the same page content and same set of links to all users. There is a need to add “intelligence” to web based learning to tutor the students intelligently and adapt to their needs. Adaptive hypermedia systems offer a solution by using of adaptive meth...

Learning Styles Diagnosis Based on User Interface Behaviors for the Customization of Learning Interfaces in an Intelligent Tutoring System

Each learner has different preferences and needs. Therefore, it is very crucial to provide the different styles of learners with different learning environments that are more preferred and more efficient to them. This paper reports a study of the intelligent learning environment where the learner’s preferences are diagnosed, and then user interfaces are customized in an adaptive manner to accom...

An adaptation algorithm for an intelligent natural language tutoring system

The focus of computerised learning has shifted from content delivery towards personalised online learning with Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS). Oscar Conversational ITS (CITS) is a sophisticated ITS that uses a natural language interface to enable learners to construct their own knowledge through discussion. Oscar CITS aims to mimic a human tutor by dynamically detecting and adapting to an i...
